Jimmy Ledrac was born in the rather small swedish town Eskilstuna in 1977. At the age of eight he started playing the drums but never really took the interest in percussive instruments any further. In 1994, during the fading era of grunge rock, he picked up the guitar and started writing songs. The original idea was to develop the tunes with a band but Ledrac couldn't seem to find any other band members to join into the project. The main reason for this was the fact that his main ambition at the time was to become a painter. A couple of years later, in 1999 to be precise, a friend introduced him the basics in studio based music production. Since this day Jimmy Ledrac has virtually produced tracks on a daily basis!
In 2002 Jimmy met the Looptroop rapper Promoe and they ended up recording a track called "Layin' Bricks" – a track where also canadian Mathematik and german Raptile appeared as guests. "Layin' Bricks" was released as a 12" and also featured the B-side "Head-On Collision", a track where the Looptroop emcee Cosmic also joined in.
The year after this 12" project Jimmy and Raptile continued their collaboration and teamed up in Raptile's studio in Munich (München), Germany. These sessions ended up with ten tracks for the Raptile album "Classic Material" (Subword/SonyBMG), released in August 2004.
Parallel with the work on the Raptile album Jimmy also kept his solo production album in progress. This album contains a wide range of guest appearances - e.g; Promoe (Looptroop), Braille (Lightheaded), Declaime a.k.a. Dudley Perkins, Wordsworth, Eddie Meeks, Naili (France) and Providence Rockwell.
Jimmy Ledrac is currently producing tracks for Promoe's upcoming 3. album, also working with lots of other various artists and his brand new band - Dayz II Face - together with the american emcee Providence Rockwell.
